Over the past few years, we have worked in leadership positions in organisations where efficient and rapid recruitment of quality staff was critical to the success of the business. We have learned that irrational decisions regarding staff due to time pressure led to increased turnover or costs. The solutions offered to the problem at hand were unsatisfactory as we did not see or feel any improvement in the processes. Despite a significant number of people willing to work, the staff shortage remained incredibly high due to insufficient accessibility to the labour market.
